Why Powerful Progress

The Non-Profit Advisory Board

We connect nonprofit executive directors, presidents, vice presidents, etc. with the talent and advice needed to further or expand their current work through collaborations and networking.

Addressing the Digital Divide

We support the Laptops for Kids effort initiated by Jason Byrd, a software engineer at Microsoft Corporation. He has worked tirelessly to procure, refurbish, and supply laptops to students in need identified through networks in the K12 virtual public school program, starting in Virginia.

To date, we have supplied 20 laptops and we are working to build resources to expand this program further. We also plan to provide digital content covering the fundamental finance and tax information on media that we supply to students in the future.

Nonprofit Problem Solvers Initiative

Scaled fee-based support and advisory services for nonprofits on compliance, finance, tax, and legal requirements hindering them from accessing donors and funding to do the work they are already doing.  We have expertise to fix many operating nonprofits issues that may have their tax-exemption revoked if audited. Most nonprofits fail and do not qualify for community foundation and large donor support due to compliance failures. Fees are reasonable (scaled for affordability and may be zero for some) and will be used to fund our staffing needs and resources to further our mission-focused programs.

Policy Institute Fellows

Have an all-inclusive all affiliations network of experts without bias further fair policies in local areas. After initial pilot programs, work will be done to move them to scale to fit different communities both urban and rural.

Powerful Progress Fellows

A unique fellowship allowing ordinary people to make tangible impact. The greatest expert in the field to solve their problem is the one experiencing their problem. examples of this are the Laptops for kids program, financial literacy education, and grassroots efforts many are already doing but to scale them and make them more impactful. This program will have three tiers.

1. Community Fellow (unpaid) but funded by philanthropic support.

2. Nationwide Fellow (paid) nationwide programs.

3. Global Fellows (paid) fully funded to create change in a global community. Each year, an award Gala would be done for showing the impact, raising money for more, and introducing the wave of Fellows.
